Front
On the front, the 13.0 MP wide camera captures natural-looking selfies with impressive detail, perfect for sharing your best moments with friends and family. 6. Samsung Galaxy A35 5G: Performance
- Exenos 1380 (5nm)
- Octa-core (2.4GHz)
- Up To 8GB RAM
Here comes the performance section, with its new updated chipset and cooling features, ensuring a seamless and responsive user experience.
Chipset & Storage
Powered by the new Exynos 1380 processor, which comes with an improved GPU and NPU capabilities, this device may surprise some with its lower processing power clocked at 2.4GHz compared to its predecessor, the Galaxy A34 which had 2.6GHz processing power from the Mediatek chipset.
However, do remember the competitors around the Galaxy A35 like the Google Pixel 6a or the newly released Realme 12+ will definitely provide a bit higher performance, thanks to their higher processor power chips.
Gaming
While heavy-duty games like Genshin Impact or Fortnite may exhibit lower frame rates due to the slightly lower clock speed, the Galaxy A35 shines when it comes to casual gaming, offering vibrant colors and smoother graphics for games like Temple Run and other 2D titles.
To ensure consistent performance and maintain a cooling environment for your device during extended gaming sessions, the Galaxy A35 5G delivers a large vapor chamber cooling system. This innovative cooling solution efficiently dissipates heat, keeping the device at optimal operating temperatures even under heavy load.
Multimedia
In the multimedia area, the Galaxy A35 delivers an immersive audiovisual experience. With stereo speakers, users can enjoy richer sound quality while watching movies on the streaming platforms or listening to music on spotify. Moreover, with support for UHD 4K content, every detail comes to life on the device’s vibrant display, enhancing the overall viewing experience.
You can also store larger files as well, as there is an expandable option with an additional microSD card slot which allows you to have up to 1 terabyte of extra storage expansion.
7. Samsung Galaxy A35 5G: Software & UI
- Android 14 | One UI 6.1
- 4 Years OS Update | 5 Years Security Updates
Moving on to the software section, you get One UI 6 based on the Android 14, that gives you minimalist customization just like the bigger brother Galaxy A55. App icons and themes customization are totally similar with few removable apps features.
Haptic motors function perfectly while typing and gestures work smoothly thanks to 120Hz high refresh rate . One of the best features Samsung gave this year is providing 4 years of Os updates and 5 Years of security updates, which is pretty appreciable to stay secure from intruders.
You also get Samsung Knox Vault supported, that gives you protection for your personal data for added privacy. Smart Switch is there as well, which allows you to easily transfer data to your new Samsung Galaxy from different devices, a useful feature which works perfectly if you want to switch from your older iPhones or other android phones.
8. Samsung Galaxy A35 5G: Battery Life
- 5000mAh Battery
- 25W Wired
Battery life is no change from last year’s Galaxy A34, which has a 5000mAh battery. Now this is pretty usual like most mid-range phones in this price range. The battery life is useful and lasts all day with minimum usage of course.
Although if you watch movies or tv-shows like watching the new Netflix’s TV series the 3 Body problem’s four episode streaming made the battery down to 55% from a full 100% of charge. You do get a decent fast charger as per Samsung’s website, which is 25-Watt fast charging capability. That gives you around 75% charge in just 40-50 minutes time.
Sadly there’s no charger in the box just like the Galaxy A55, so remember to use an old charger that you already have or you can always buy a 25W Samsung charger from a reliable seller.

Verdict
To keep things precise, the new Galaxy A35 from Samsung, comes with a few minor changes. Although those are literally new chipset, upgraded display and body designs. It would have been nicer if Samsung brought aluminum shells for the Galaxy A35 as well just like their Galaxy A55.
The design changes are quite appreciable as you get a curved design on the right side of the device that gives you a premium feel to it.
There’s also the Infinity-O display instead of the water drop notch. You do get a new Exynos chipset but the performance shows a bit of a downgrade compared to last year’s Mediatek seen on the Galaxy A34.
Viewing angle is quite similar to last year’s model, but still good to have Super AMOLED at a budget price. For someone who loves Samsung’s eco-system with the One UI and needs at least four year’s software upgrades, they would be happy to have this device.
Get the Samsung Galaxy A35 5G, if
- You appreciate the Samsung’s One UI ecosystem and customization;
- You want to a device that smoothly give performance for day to day activity;
- You need a triple camera sensor with 4K recording for both front and back camera.
