- Glass front
- 8.99mm (Thicker Body)
- Water Repellent Design
Design
Starting off with the design section, this year’s 2024 Motorola devices have come up with a transition from last year’s model. If you look at the recent Edge 50 series, all the devices come up with elegant matte color finish while giving you a streamlined camera housing, which looks really premium on your hand.
For buttons there’s a volume rocker on the right top and a power button below that which also happens to have the useful side-mounted fingerprint scanner.
Colors
As for colors, you get two options, which is in a way very low but looks quite fashionable at first glance. There’s a Glacier Blue and a Ink Blue option, the Glacier blue sorta has a snow-ice design, while the Ink Blue makes you remember the deep sea ocean. Both colors truly captured the hearts of consumers.
Build
Moving on the overall build of the device, it’s as usual like the last Moto G series models. You get a plastic back and frame with a Glass front for protecting the display. Motorola did however ensure you get splash protection as well from their “Water repellent design” design.
One thing that will bother you is its thick body, as now it comes with 8.99mm thickness which is almost 9mm thick. Although, using the device on a daily basis will get you habitual and let you ignore it for a while.
As for the overall weight, it’s about 197 grams, which is not that high but not lightweight either, but provides a solid feel while using in one-hand.
4. Motorola Moto G24 Power: Display
- 6.56-Inch (HD+)
- Punch Hole Camera Cutout
- 90Hz Refresh Rate
- 537nits Peak Brightness
Let’s talk about the display now, you get a large 6.56-inch IPS LCD display that has a resolution of around 720×1612 pixels.
While watching HD content on youtube or Netflix, the display performed great. There’s a 90Hz refresh rate as well, which literally makes your gaming and scrolling from apps to apps smoother than most budget phones.
Viewing angle is pretty exciting from the G24 Power, as there is less bezel, you get around 84.9% screen-to-body ratio and that’s really good while enjoying YouTube videos or binge watching Netflix tv-shows from this device.
In terms of display brightness, you get around 537 nits peak brightness, in first view this is not too high and even not too low.
While enjoying video contents outdoors or shooting a good photo in the direct sunlight won’t be an issue. As for the punch-hole camera cutout, it is not too big or too small, so nothing to complain about there.
Overall, the viewing angle and display features are quite acceptable if you look at its budget pricing.

- 50MP Wide | 2MP Macro
- 16MP Front
- 1080p Rear Recording | 1080p Front Recording
Camera capabilities of the Moto G24 Power assures you dual senses and both deliver their best performance while shooting in daylight.
Main Camera (Wide)
There’s a 50MP primary wide angle sensor, which has an aperture of f/1.8. Shooting day to day artifacts and scenarios in broad day won’t be an issue.
Shooting outdoor photos with the primary wide angle lens gave pretty good dynamic range and color tone. Outdoor photography also showed good skin tones for people’s photography with shadow and sunlight differences giving pretty appreciated results.
While it does lack sharpness in terms of low-light photography and in a way, you can shoot decent photos in a darker environment, just not as great as daylight.
Macro
You also get a 2 megapixel macro lens which has a f/2.4 aperture, that literally allows you to capture close-up objects. User’s who love capturing a bit nearer images, will like this lens in an instant.
Recording

Front
There are two variants for the front camera from the Moto G24 Power, which is either the 8MP camera for the international version or the 16MP indian version.
As for the Bangladesh market, we got ourselves the Indian version, and shooting from the 16MP wide angle camera gives you pretty good selfie shots. You also get a 1080p recording at 30fps for the front camera, making videography or doing video calls is just fine in natural light.

As for the gaming section, there’s the dedicated Mali-G52 MC2 graphics, playing casual games like Subway Surfers, Special Forces Group 2 and even high end games like Free-Fire in HD mode works just great. Thanks to the 90Hz refresh rate, playing battle royal games delivered good smoothness.
It is advisable to get the high end 8GB variant instead of the 4GB variant if you are planning to game on this device, as the higher the RAM the better the app functioning and processing power you will get.
You can play PUBG Mobile as well in this moto G24 Power in low settings and the phone got a little hot, which is pretty usual playing high end games. Do remember, it’s a budget phone, so don’t go aggressive on this device playing high graphics games for too long.
Multimedia
In terms of media and audio consumption, the Moto G24 Power surprised our review team. You totally get an amazing audio experience from the Dolby Atmos sound system Moto is providing with this budget device.
While watching movies on Netflix or Amazon Prime, it looks quite good on the HD+ Screen. You can also expand your memory with a dedicated microSD slot inside the SIM tray, which is a plus point that most companies don’t provide.

Talking about the upgrades of the G24 Power, you don’t get too many major OS updates like Google phones provides, but Motorola is providing at least 1 year of OS upgrade, which is just okay, but it would have been better if you got at least two to three OS upgrades. Motorola does care about safety for your devices, so they are giving you a minimum of 3 Years of security patches.
8. Motorola Moto G24 Power: Battery Life
- 6000mAh Battery
- 30W Wired
Finally, let’s talk about the battery life of the Moto G24 Power, which comes with its biggest feature, which is the power delivery that we get from this device.
Motorola gives you around 6000mAh battery, which is around 20% improvement from last year’s Motorola G23. Now this enough power gives you literally around 2 days of battery backup easily in a minimum usage pattern.
Playing small games for an hour and watching a netflix tv-series for two-three hours cost us around 33% from a full charge. You can charge the device pretty fast as well, as you get the 30W wired charging capability from the charger Moto gives you in the box. Which gives you 0% to 50% in less than an hour.
Although you can use this big battery quite well for more than two days if you go full on basic mode, like calling, no major GPS tracking, avoiding all-time gaming or watching HD videos. To be honest, for power users, this Moto G24 Power is a bang
