Let’s start with the overall design of both the devices, as we all know it already, which is the Pixel 9 Pro and Pro XL models, both devices feature a durable and scratch-resistant Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 cover glass and a silky matte back with a polished metal frame. Which makes your drops and sudden bumps safer due to greater protection for the front.
Both devices has IP68 dust and water resistance to keep you safe from accidental raindrops or splashes. Google also ensured that both devices must have fingerprint-resistant coating, explaining why the back was made matte finish, to avoid unintentional fingerprints. You can feel it when you hold it, as the device is around 10 millimeters taller and weighs approximately 22 grams more than the Pixel 9 Pro model. You get a smaller display on the Pixel 9 pro, which is the 6.3-inch, and it supports HDR to view your content better. In terms of performance features, there are similar processors, Ram and Rom in both the Pixel 9 Pro and the 9 Pro XL.
Google gives you the new Tensor G4 chip in the newer Pixel devices and sadly there are no major differences from last year’s Tensor G3, as there’s just ‘.1 GHz” improvement from last year’s Tensor G3 chip.
