Without newer design changes, most users tend to lose interest in a new Smartphones. By keeping that theory in mind, Samsung introduced an elevated camera design for all the prime rear lenses this year. Now all the latest S26 series is looking a lot like previous year’s Galaxy S25 edge now.

In comparison, iPhone 17 Pro Max gives you a similar size LTPO Super Retina XDR OLED display along with 3000 nits peak brightness. Apple wins here, giving you higher peak brightness compared to Galaxy S26 Ultra.

A 200MP wide lens, 10MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom, 50MP periscope telephoto lens with 5x optical zooming and finally a 50MP ultrawide lens. It would have been better if users got a little upgrade in the battery section, although Samsung is still sticking with 5,000mAh. While you do get faster charging with the latest S26 series. To be specific, you will be getting 60W wired charging this year. Which is like 33% better compared to last year’s 45W you had on the Galaxy S25 Ultra.
As for wireless charging, Samsung introduced new Qi2.2, which enables the S26 Ultra to have 25W wireless charging, and that’s around 66% improvement from last year’s 15W wireless charging. While the reverse wireless charging capability remained the same as before with 4.5W reverse charging.
On the other hand, Apple comes with a minor battery upgrade from last year’s 16 Pro Max. Giving you around 4823mAh capacity with the latest iPhone 17 Pro Max model. Which is like 2.95% greater than last year. It’s great to see that at least, Apple is trying to show a noticeable improvement from the previous generation phone, which is still better than Samsung’s no change theory.
